Relationships can become stuck in cycles that feel bigger than either person. Therapy can help you slow those cycles down, understand what is happening underneath them, and develop more effective ways of responding to one another.
My work with couples draws on extensive training in the Gottman Method, attachment-informed and Emotionally Focused approaches, and other evidence-based therapies. I tailor the work to the people and relationship in front of me rather than applying a one-size-fits-all formula.
Learn to communicate more clearly, listen differently, and interrupt patterns that turn difficult conversations into recurring conflict.
Explore emotional needs, attachment patterns, ruptures in trust, and the conditions that make closeness possible again.
Work through infidelity, parenting changes, grief, sexuality, stress, separation decisions, and other major transitions with care and honesty.
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy while remaining responsive to each client's history, strengths, values, and goals.
The goal is not simply to stop conflict. It is to understand the relationship well enough to create new choices within it.
My training includes Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels I, II & III), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, family systems, trauma-focused approaches, and related evidence-based methods.
You do not have to wait until a relationship or life transition feels impossible before asking for help.
Therapy can offer a place to understand what is happening, speak more honestly, and experiment with new ways of responding—with compassion for where you have been and attention to where you want to go.
Good therapy is both thoughtful and practical: a place for careful reflection, emotional honesty, and meaningful movement.
I draw from evidence-based approaches while paying close attention to the particular history, values, strengths, and needs each person or couple brings into the room.
We clarify what brings you to therapy and identify the cycles, beliefs, emotions, and circumstances that keep the problem going.
Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of communicating, regulating emotion, setting boundaries, and responding to one another.
We translate insight into everyday life so that healthier patterns can become more available when stress inevitably returns.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology and more than 25 years of psychotherapy experience in private practice.
I have worked with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, mood concerns, grief, trauma, parenting, life transitions, sexuality, and self-esteem.
My goal is to create a therapy relationship that is both supportive and honest—one in which you can understand yourself more deeply and make intentional changes in how you live and relate.
